About K-Rae and Toast2Taste

Bienvenue and welcome to Toast2Taste.   I have been living and working between San Diego and Paris for more than 25 years.  My goal is always to help people experience Paris as an active participant in the daily life of the city, through the food, the people and the language.

Trained as a sociologist and applied linguist, I dabble.  At various points in the year, and depending on the country in which I find myself, I am a personal chef, court interpreter, research assistant, French teacher, and administrator for Paris study abroad programs.  A confirmed linguaphile, the French language is the common thread running through these occupations, yet the heart of a culture is often most accessible through its cuisine, and this is the lens through which I often view the life and culture of Paris.  This blog is intended as a space to share insights into intercultural themes, practical Paris information and snapshots of life in Paris, often with a meal in mind.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about Paris. I’d love to hear from you.

À bientôt!
